French travelers need help in Bombay - Trying to bring camper in to India

Hello every body
If my post isn't at the good place please move it.

I'm Marc from France near Paris.

My cousin Fred makes with his wife and son , a trip aroud the world in camper.

They are now in Bombay but they have great difficulty in accepting their camper on Indain soil by the customs services.

They want to visit your great country before to go to Australia.

Who can help them get the precious right of way for their camper?

Thank you for your help

sorry for my bad English

Marc

Hi Marc,

Quite a trip your cousin has planned along with his family and I would love to help them in every possible way on Indian soil.

As far as bringing their Camper on Indian soil they can use "Carnet de Passage" also known as "CPD" way as your cousin will be taking the camper back along with him after completing his journey in India

In order to obtain a Carnet, the owner of a vehicle is required to provide a security based on the age and market value of the vehicle

Corporation for International Business | ATA Carnet | International Export Document | Online Carnet will be a useful website to know more details

I hope this information is useful to your cousin

Regards,

Viraj

Viraj thank you for your reply.
But the latest news received (06/08) they are permanently renounced to travel with their camper in India, the vehicle must be returned soon to Dubai by boat.
Today they travel by train and scooter and are on the side of Goa.

bgrs

Marc
