A friend needs to travel from Jayanagar 3rd block to JNC in Koramangala everyday.

As of now she is using her vehicle but wants to shift to bus in the long run.

Any of you have any idea if a Volvo bus plies on that route? Any idea how I can get this info?

Try the 201 series. Starts from CV Raman Nagar and goes till Banshankari.
It should be then going via Koramangala/Jayanagar.

Please confirm with BMTC site.

Its however not a very frequent service. May be once in half an hour.

I saw that. It is quite helpful. However, I dont know which bus stop is the closest to JNC. So, I dont know which bus stop in Koramangala to choose from the drop down menu!

BDA Complex will be the closest to JNC.

Will have to catch a Bus going towards Shivajinagar (lots of buses - 13, 26 series) at 3rd Block Jayanagar and get down at Wilson Garden 10th Cross. Walk to 12th Cross Bus stand (Takes max 5mins). Take any bus (Even Volvos) going towards Koramangala or Hosur road and get down at Madiwala Checkpost (Near Big Bazaar). JNC is just 5-10mins walk from here.

Volvo is 201R i guess. If taking ordinary 201 be very very careful. It is very very crowded always and has quite a large number of pickpocket incidents.

She would prefer to travel completely in the Volvo. Going through Wilson Garden is one option but would prefer a Volvo.

Dreamdiesel --- Wont 7D, 7F and 7E also go to Big Bazaar stop? I used to take these three buses from JNR to Christ College when I was in PU.

Is the 201R a volvo?

7D, 7F and 7E also goto Big Bazaar from Jayanagar. Most of the times crowded. Its the regular BMTC bus. Not Volvo.

201R is a Volvo. Frequency is pretty good during peak hours (every 15mins). Route is from Srinagara to CV Raman nagar via Monotype, Banashankari temple, JNR 5th and 9th block, BTM, Madiwala, Koramangala, Indranagar. The nearest it would stop to JNC is at Koramangala BDA complex/Canara Bank. About 2kms from JNC.

^^ +1. 201R and the nearest stop is Koramangala BDA complex. Even the Volvo's run packed on this route.

For Jyothi Nivas College (if thats what meant by JNC), Forum mall stop,St Johns Medical college bus stop etc will be closer. On the other side, BDA complex also nearby.
