| BHPian  |  Suggestions needed for good hotels in Mahabaleshwar / Panchgani Hi All, We plan to visit Mahabaleshwar during monsoons this time (never been there during monsoon) . Can someone please suggest good stay options at Mahabaleshwar / Panchgani (need to stay with family) ? We have always stayed at MTDC before, so want to try something different this time around. |

| I stayed at the Ravine hotel last year during the monsoons - its right on the road as you enter Panchgani - pretty decent and great views from the windows of the valley. |

MTDC is best as far as scenery is concerned but far away from market. Better stick to the hotels in the market area. There are numerous threads for mahaby stay options. search them. | I stayed at the Prospect Hotel in Panchgani the last time I visited. It is a quaint Parsi (or Baha''i, I couldn't be sure) establishment. The hotel has comfortable rooms with an antique feel about it. The food that they serve in the restaurant is the best part, especially if you are a non-vegetarian. They serve up a mean Dhansak. It doesn't have a view, but the place has great character which makes up for that. I highly recommend this place.
