Reached thodupuzha and checked in at sicilia at 12.15. The route is good , except for some patches of 5km or so after Pala and a few places after entering Idukki district.
Now all set to take Neriamangalam road to reach Adimali

Hi,

I am planning to drive from Trivandrum to Munnar this weekend. Any suggestions on the best route right now (since the last post I see was in 2012 ) ?

I plan to start early morning 5am on Sat, planning to reach Munnar by afternoon. Hopefully this would be doable, right ?

I would prefer the MC Road to Changanaserry, then via Kanjrapalli, Kuttikanam & Kattapana to Munnar

Thank you Kumar. Any estimate of how long it might take? I wouldn't be driving any crazy speeds, mostly just like to stick to what the road would allow given its nature and the traffic. Also from which point onwards would the twisty section start?

8 hours would be a reasonable time estimate.
MC Road is twisty from Trivandrum onwards.
It is uphill from Mundakayam onwards till Kuttikanam
