From BC road I will go to Kateel for a Quick darshan and later head towards Udupi. So, if you spot a Med.Grey Grande Punto with "Driven By" TBHP sticker do honk/flash.

Though I will not be a part of it. I think if planned a Team BHP caravan can be made.
Yup. Looks like that. Watch out for me in a TN registered Indigo XL - Burgundy color with 9 TBHP stickers (1 was stolen recently). Happy Motoring and Happy holidays everyone.

Do visit the Polali Rajarajeshwari temple on the BC Road - Kaikamba route. Its one of the oldest and famous temple.

You will get an arch on right side while driving from BC road.

You can also try Kateel - Kinnigoli - Belman - Katpady route if you want to avoid the NH. This route is a bit longer but you can enjoy some nature and village life.

Wow. Thanks kadri007. I will defenitely visit this temple. I will take the Kinnigoli route, and reach Udupi via Mulki / Karnad. Can you please suggest some good restaurant in the vicinity of Kateel or on the way to Udupi for lunch / snacks?

You can have breakfast in BC road, freshen up and proceed towards Polali.

Kateel does not have any big hotels. Small hotels are there. Not that great.

There are some hotles in Kaikambha Junction and also some small hotels in Polali.

The pooja time in Kateel is around 12.30-1.00. You can have a lunch in temple itself.

Else you can proceed to Kinnigoli or Mulki to have lunch.

I think there are good number of people heading in both the below routes:

Blore - Mysore - Madikeri - Sullya - BC road - Mangalore

Blore - Hassan - Charmadi - Dharmastala

I dont think anyone is going through Shiradi.

Here are some options if you are travelling in Mulki - Udupi Stretch.

Mulki Bappanadu temple also an old and famous temple. Its on the left side on the way to Udupi after Mulki Service bus stand. You have an Arch.

Kapu beach and light house.

Maple fishing jetty and if you have time then Saint mary Island. Boat services are there from Malpe.

Kadiyali temple in Udupi.

Manipal End point if you visit Manipal.

Yes it took 1:30 hours to cover the approx 30 - 35 KM stretch I was very careful though and went real slow on the potholes

I have uploaded some pictures of Shiradi which I took specially for T-bhp.

Its just me and my computer will be there for the launch .

Here is my site http://www.yeshwanthlive.com

Your feedback's are always welcomed to make it more helpful.

I am not a software engineer so its just a simple site.
