Hey Samurai, how do you configure weather updates on the phone? Is it only possible on Windows Mobile or can be done on Blackberry's as well?

Cool, so probably we are taking 2 different routes. Good in a way. We can give updates on both the routes once we are back. This is going to help others for sure.

opps i had forgotten

now this is little scary... Sandeep who drives a "Civic" found the road manageable and D whodrives a S i mean a Safari felt that road is bad!

now we have a scary scenario hehe

btw after eating "Sushrutha's" head i have decided to go via Charmadi...

Exactly where does the Shiradi ghat closure start? If we want to visit Subramanya, can we still take the Dharmasthala-Gundya-Kukke route? This road is very nice, I hope that is not closed.

Edit: According to this it is closed from Gundya Checkpost. Isn't that exactly where the road turns to Subryamanya?

Traffic ban in Shiradi Ghat

Sharath, i believe its closed before the checkpost, so you should be able to take this route.

Yup, that is from Bangalore side. even during the road repair they had closed at the same place.

btw i dont think it would make any sense in cutting off a good connecting road to one of the busy temples...

Slightly off topic. Blackberry has this feature as well. But, it will open up a browser and show you the forecast. In HTC, you will get a widget.
