Bangalore - Chennai in a 740Li and 530i on 24.12.2005

Theres supposed to be a Zubin Mehta programme in Chennai and BMW is assosciated as the official transporters ....Hence I am movin ahead with the Beemers, I really hope its gonna be a fun drive and I can really floor these machines during the early highway drive ..not sure about the road though.

Kewl Dude .. The Last Time i drove to Chennai (couple of Months ago), took me 3hrs 45 to reach the outskirts of Chennai ... Holding the Car @ 140 Most of the Way ...Think you can do better, cheers !!! ... Drive Carefully ...

Take the old madras road(NH4). Travel only during daytime. Nights are a total no-no. 4 hrs from Bangalore outskirts to chennai outskirts. Leaving and entering the respective cities are the pain.Have a wonderful journey and call me when u're in chennai.

I guess the new road .. ie Blr - Hosur - Krishnagiri - Vellore road is also gud.

Expect for some really bad patches near Vellore / Ambur.

Have fun ... I dont mind coming to Blr and then guiding you the route
