Hi Bhpians,

Need some real quick help. Sudden decision to go to itarsi today, starting at 2:00 PM.

The route as per various threads etc is
Delhi - Agra - Gwalior - Shivpuri - Guna - Biaora - Bhopal - Obaidullaganj-Itarsi.

Vehicle - Ford Ikon 1.6
People - 4 Adults (1 Male- me + 3 women) + 3 kids (2 of them a year old, the other 7 years old)

Questions
1) How are the road conditions all along
2) Can be this on a continuous drive (12 + hours) if all are willing?
3) If so, is it safe to drive at night?
4) Or do I take a break? If so where - Gwalior ? Any decent hotel (considering the women folk with me). Hotel names would be most welcome
5) Any other precautions I should be taking ?

Any advice from those well versed with this route is most welcome, as I will be travelling with my family members.

Also any TBhpian I can reach out to in case of any need / emergency along this route ? If yes, please share name / mobile numbers thru PM

Good stretch with bad patches in between Agra - Gwalior around Morena, Dholpur. Then bad stretch between Bhopal and Itarsi between Hoshangabad. Otherwise good roads.

It will take you more than 12 hours. I drove through in the night, so absolutely safe. Just take care of the road.

If you start at 2 from Delhi, you should hit Agra at 5 and Gwalior at about 7.30. You can push on till Guna / Shivpuri/Biaora. All these places have more than decent MPTDC Hotels. Or else you can break at Gwalior itself. Lotsa good hotels there.

Yes no issues whatsoever! Too much truck traffic. Furthermore he will be driving late evening, so absolutely easy. What he has to tackle later on in the night is Fog though!
