Re: WLS Hopping - Hyderabad to Kanha, Pench and Tadoba

Khawasa to Rookhad and 10 kms beyond till Seoni ghat is in an absolutely horrible condition. It will require atleast 1- 1 1/2 hours to cover this section in your Accent. Progress will be a bit faster if you have an SUV. Rest of the road is in good shape.

All the best. Ping me when you are around Nagpur. will catch up.

regards,
Dr. A Ghosh

Doc - Thanks a ton for the info. For a change we are travelling in my friends sedan and the GC is very much similar to mine. Unfortunately we dont have an SUV, but we will put up with the bad roads, the lure of the jungles, you see

Re: WLS Hopping - Hyderabad to Kanha, Pench and Tadoba

Folks - For those travelling from Hyd to Pench/Kanha via Nagpur, NH7 (AH43?) is under construction between Adilabad & Jam (60KM). Lot of diversions between Pandharkwada & Jam. The section between Khawasa (Pench) & Rookhad is 26KM & is in a horrible state, there is no road per se but huge boulders of broken road which was once a nice ghat section drive. Beyond Rookhad, via Seoni, the roads are in excellent condition all the way upto Kanha (Kisli gate).

Thanks for the update. The 26km stretch through Pench has been like for ages now and does not look like its going to get repaired any time soon.People have had to crawl at 10kph and usually take close to 2hour to cross that stretch.
