How much mileage do you expect? Is it just for personal use (ie. non commercial)?

Indica should be good.

Give more details regarding what exactly do you want. Is it just mileage or do you need comfort etc.

Used car under 4.00. I guess indigo 1 year old will fit the bill, and you get a turbo intercooler too. The non intercooled ones should be available for 3-3.5Lac.

how good are used Petras? I've heard from some that Fiats are 40K kms cars - and pretty much everything needs an overhaul after that. Is that accurate ?
It does sound like a good used buy. How about the Palio D ?

Hi zenx ..

One honest suggestion ....

Never hear and agree (especially about Fiat cars) uptil you see / verify from an authentic source.

I have driven a 52K driven Petra diesel of my friend and its way ahead of Indigo in all departments. Had Fiat known how to sell then you wouldnt have asked this question.

No wonder they have tied with TATA only to sell and in return their status in India is at TATA's mercy. eg:- this is an inside news i know about - Petra is not going to be promoted by TATA .. only Palios and Adventure will. Petra will be sold only by FIAT exclusive dealers.

Thnx Namit, the Diesel Adventure does sound like an attractive used buy for long "aaraam" family trips. Now to find one at the right price

Lancer or the Petra, i feel all the other options arn't that good.

I dunno if u will get an Accent, but if u do, then the Accent it is.

go for indigo . it might not be as good as petra but the cost of the spares and workshops do matter which tata has an upper hand
