Hi Speedbuster I understand that your intention on giving the Full specs is to give a clear comparison. good one. but the problem is as i said before The Specs on the brouchers many times leave us more confused than giving us more clarity.
Like for example - Do u remember the Santro Ad which went overboard about about it's 4+1 Seat registration when compared to Wagon R's 3+1 Seat Registration. The Truth is the Santro's rear seat wasn't much wider when compared to Wagon R's.

@kiku007: ya, i remember that 4 seater and 5 seater controvery...the great "kissa kursi ka"...lol

btw those specs are not from brouchers, but tested and measured by autocar india.

btw i would appreciate if u tell us about your confusions regarding the specs, this would actually help me and many members over here.
thanks

extreme_torque,
Yup, i do own an esteem, 3 of them and 4 chevrolet Tavera's as well, 1 OHC 1.3 and 1 Toyota Camry and 1 Chevrolet Optra 1.6, we have a travelling agency you see so we have given the above cars on hire to various sources like airlines, hotels etc.
I thought the esteem, indigo, ikon 1.3 and the accent GLe all form the lower mid-size segment. Maybe i was wrong, maybe as you said it cant be even compared with the hatchbacks, so i guess that takes the getz, swift, palio, zen, santro and others out of the equation. Ok then lets compare the esteem with the entry level hatchback segment.ummmmmmmmm, maybe the alto............M800, what say?

Nothing personal buddy, cheers

Ikon Flair 1300cc, 70bhp

The width is incorrect. I think it should be around 1621 .. 1821 is huuuge , probably in Accord territory.
