Minus the price, I find you are looking at very different vehicles. An SUV vs a sedan. May be you can put in some thoughts on this aspect too (as in, you want a sedan or a SUV)

Regarding your considerations,
1. Mileage: City will give better FE. Period. Latest Scorpio CRDe is supposed to give 8-10 kmpl (as per their sales rep...with such a fig, I assume either they have been told to provide the real figs or they have no idea what they are supposed to say )

2. Resale: NHC once again.

3. Service: Fellow BHPians will be more informative on this one as am yet to own a car

But then someone who goes for scorpio (and space in not among his/her consideration) is looking for something entirely different (or may be I think so that way).

And btw, IMHO, Scorpio still has not sorted out the famed high-speed issue. Drove it yesterday and I had second thoughts of going beyond 120...ride too 'cushy' for my comfort.

Cheers

As Hells Bells (are you an AC/DC fan btw? ) has rightly put it, you are comparing apples and oranges. Both vehicles are built for different purposes, so tell us what you want in the first place.

IMHO, the NHC seems to be a better bet if you want comfort and fuel economy. If you are looking at a good looking people mover, then the Scorpio is for you.

Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out...all you need to be is an AC/DC buff

Its simple...
For Offroad - Scorpio
For City - Honda City
For Highway - None

Both are very different cars, but i'd prefer the Honda City anyday cuz i feel its a better car than the Scorpio

LOL

though the City is relatively a better vehicle for the highway given its far superior (again relatively) handling
