Spot on boy. I own a red sfxi with the 2003 grille. Was going for yellow but the dealer said I will have to wait. I settled for red instead.
you are right about performance though. Baleno runs ahead but believe me when I say you wont be able to notice the differenct except on a straight road. Lancer is a better handler than the corolla too. I have driven both lancer and baleno extensively and wouldnt want to be partial to any car as long as possible. But I cannot put aside the fact that I have been pretty much satisfied with my lancer.
for 2003 model I doubt if the equipment list of the baleno will be similar to the lancer. All the goodies have been added recently. Quote: |

I have mentioned this time and again. I have driven both the baleno(old edition) and my lancer sfxi. The opinion on similar FE is based on my own experience. lets not forget that the lancer engine is the smoothest and most refined even now which is very much comparable to the balenos excellent 1.6 engine. While baleno is more powerful with less weight to carry lancer is less powerful with more weight to carry. Weight and power being the most important factors (not the only factors though) FE is equal. |
