I got the brake pads changed in my Baleno a couple of days ago in Thiruvalla (Kerala). Cost 3,250/- inclusive of taxes for SGP pads.

I was on a trip and didnt want to risk coming back with out brakes

Hey Nitrous, I don't have any idea about the OEM of SGP pads. I was on a trip, brakes were gone completely, was in a hurry. All i checked was the MRP sticker was torn on the box with only "SGP" logo and "Made in Japan" left on it.

My baleno (run 47k kms) had gone for suspension overhaul last weekend, it turned out that my shocks & Lower arms are in good shape thanks to SGP, ball joints, connecting rods & other misc things needs to be changed.

I casually enquired SGP lower arms, it cost around 7200/- per piece inclusive of taxes
SGP Struts (Monroe) cost around 5200/- per piece.

Note - There are cheaper options available, the entire baleno suspension can replaced within 16k with non-SGP parts, this is normally done for dealer cars.

Re: Spares Cost : Aveo/Baleno/Fiesta/NHC

My Baleno needs front suspension overhaul including Shockers, lower arms, link rods, ball joints etc. The parts shall take about 3 4 days to arrive. I am getting it done at a friends workshop and have been quoted an approximate expenditure of around 25K. This includes replacing the fuel filter as well. Have been advised to change tyres only after the suspension overhaul. Do you think the estimate is reasonable?
