U need to specify ur usage and requirements like family size , city vs h?w etcc

But overall, in ur budget I would ask you to look at the Petra or the Baleno Lxi

Hey friends,

I would suggest you read through the "What Car?" section....there is loads of information in there that could help you out solving your confusion.

Cheers

Looks like you want to get a performance car from a diesel stable or fit a CNG.

CNG cars are still in the pipeline from many manuacturers like maruti-suzuki for their wagonR and Hindustan Motors for their Cedia. I would not look at them right now.

For a diesel car that is a sedan and gives good performance, look at Hyundai Accent CRDi/viva crdi. lots of discounts will be available with the new model coming out soon. May fall within your budget.

you wont miss a petrol engine here, is pretty fast and is economical as a disel.

I dunno if A CNG can be fitted on this one though. But if it can be installed than nothin much sweeter than the accent crdi.

This is ex-showroom price..
plus, in delhi.. all hyundai dealers are offering just mp3 player+ 1st yr free insurance( 17K) for crdi

I bought my GLE for 5.60L on road( included free insurance worth 17k)
its ex-showroom price was 5.28+.. so that makes about 32k extra for making it on-road.

so 6.79+0.32 == 7.11 on road for viva crdi.

10K loyalty bonus if you own some hyundai car.

No discount or freebie whatsoever with any hyundai dealer..

7.11L on-road is well over his budget.

My guess on the price is based on one of the hyundai threads here where it was claimed that some discounts are available currently to clear the stock.

.
A friend of mine got his new Accent GLE(Real Earth shade) for 5.54L which was the ex-showroom price in mumbai when he bought it in Jan-06 after lot of haggle and bargaining. This deal was finalised with JMD which is a multi-brand car dealer.

You just got the insurance free????Boss you could have bargained harder and sneaked in the Registration as well for free.

@Prince..
your friend got his car for ex-showroom price, thats grt..
But in delhi, no hyundai dealer was willing to give any discounts..And free insurance was part of campaign by all hyundai dealer across delhi...

My dad did a bit of bargaining etc, they gave us free set of carpets..lol
If we did more, it would look like as if we are in a fish market

personally, I hate to bargain.

car market as of today is nothing better than a fish market!
you have to haggle hard to get something!

and if he satisfied your hunger with a set of free carpets, then i am afraid you lost some real things!
btw, how any delhi dealerships you have tried before buying your car?
answer it honestly, please!

friends9811,
if your daily drive is of 30 kms only then petrol car is the ONLY option.
and if your daily drive is above 50kms then a diesel makes better sense.

so try to estimate your monthly run!
anything less than 1500kms a month will call for a petrol car!

and if you are looking for a car with alternative fuel, just a suggestion, look for WagonR-LPG.
although it is in B-segment, but being the first company fitted LPG Kit, it must be good enough as to be considered as safest!

and if you seriously want to go for C segment, then in petrol you have many sedans like baleno, petra, ikon, accent, fiesta (slightly out of your budget).
and in diesels you dont have much choice!
only indigo and marina!

also do have a look at Gypsy! amzing appeal, though old, but still looks good, as there is no competitor!
