Hey everybody . wats up .
well ive been going through the forums and i can tell you that ive gained alot of knowledge.damn good.Ok before i get to the topic , a little lo down . im a mechanical engineering student.final year coming up.aged 20.
I will be in india for another 1 year and then im buzzing off for post graduation.So im a petrol head.

Now i may need a car for a year.budget maybe 3 lak MAX so its gonna be a used one . What are my options ? i jus want the best performance for this price . prefer:baleno,ohc1.5.

Am i missing any other car ? How old would the car be and how many kms clocked for this price ?

can i squeeze in headers,exhaust and K&N in this budget ?

And a major consideration.What kind of money goes into general maintainence?

I suggest you try Used White siena its available for sale in mangalore or udupiI heard, they expect 2 lacs I feel its worth in it, If you want I can ask for their contact info. I am thinking to test drive it but I am visiting mangalore area only after 1 month I feel... Baleno is also good ideal vehicle but don't go for OHC since resale may be the problem sometimes
If you want to sell it in a hurry..

Well , im not quite sure there could be any balenos for sale in mangalore under 3lakhs .. Certainly there arent any in bangalore .. Same goes with the OHC .. U may find a 1.3 for that price .. Instead u could get urself a used esteem for about 2.5L spend the rest of the money on a good head work , headers , freeflow etc ..

you can get a used palio 1.6 in a good condition for a max of 2lakhs.plus,with the remaining money you can burn any amount of fuel you want-plus the experience will be one you will not forget in a hurry!!

Yup. Ford Ikon. You can get a good 1.6 for around 2 Lacs. Spend the rest in modding it.

Hey guys . Thanx alot for the feedback .

So my options are currently esteem , 1.6gtx , ikon1.6 . I think ill skip on the sienna . Another thing i needed to know is which of these give the best resale value ? Since i will be using it for just a year . and its my dads money , not mine , so i want to make the lowest possible expenditures .
