Hi Baleno Gurus !!

I'm keen on a baleno or Accent
Baleno (inspite of being dated) for its comfort, VFM and low cost of maintenence . Accent for being a more recent design ..... performance etc. mostly city drivin and occasionaly hit the highway !!
More inclined to the Baleno though !!

I'm negotiating in Bangalore for a Baleno vxi end 2005 , silver , company owned , 9000 kms clocked, insurance valid for another 6 months 15k worth music system included. What's a good deal for this car ? the chaps quoting Rs. 5.2 L .

Are there any hidden charges in transferring ownership from company to an individual ? LTT is paid though

Need help pls !!

KsK, Accent for performance ???? why do you say that ? i think a Baleno is more performance oriented. VXI model would get u the bling bling too... I guess since the car is Company owned and also an year old u should haggle a bit try to get the price below 5L

ksk, both are nice cars, with each having their merits/cons.
Regarding Baleno price, PM v1p3r or mclaren1885 - they are B'lore guys, and I believe have some idea of the used Baleno prices. The fact that it has been used only 9000kms in more than a year, seems a plus to me.

Is it the 'new' VXi ? Does it have climate control ?
If not you could try to bring it down some more since it's the 'older' model.

The Baleni Vxi is a good buy if u dont plan on selling it for a long time. This, due to its rapid depreciation.

From the support team: Why do you need to put the entire quote for your reply?

For about that price, a new Ford Fusion is available with an even eager 1.6 engine thats even more spacious. Do check this car out. Talks of Baleno being discontinued is on in the market.

Add me to the list. Am breaking my head about the Baleno too.. Is it true that this model is going to be discontinued ? How abt the mileage factor ? At present I drive a Esteem that gives me 11-12 ( describes my driving style and traffic condns )

Any help is highly appreciated.

Think twice,bro.
Frankly, its a cheap "modder's car" in my opinion.

Infractions: 0/1 (10)

doesnt make sense buying a used car, that too a baleno for 5.25l.you can get a new ikon, accent for that price and if u can increase your budget a little you cus get the fusion, fiesta 1.4.
does the model you're looking at have climate control,14" alloys etc.if not bargain harder.try to get it down to 4.85l.

The Lxi cost me 5.8L onroad in Chennai in 2005. If I remember right, the Vxi was around 6.5L then. Blore prices would be higher due to tax. And also it has done only 9000kms. I feel it is a good deal at 4.95L, though I am no expert on resale values.

Go for baleno as its giving me a mileage of 16 on rainy conditions and full load (5 persons) on my highway trip from trivandrum to kottayam with 50%AC and heavy rains.............. in city it is giving me a consistent 13.5 to 14 kmpl with 50% - 60 % AC and is more performance machine than accent..and also fuel efficient.

You should better stick below 5L, if it is not offering climate control and 14" alloys....
