Since you will be driving, why not the fiesta 1.6?
The linea is expected next year and there is no news of the Vios.

The Linea & the vios will are not going to come in the immediate future. I would suggest you wait since you are more inclined towards these & the new NHC. There is no point in hurrying these things & finally end up with something that you really don't want.

At the moment the SX4 is sweeping the market within the 8lacs range...
Dont think the Linea n Vios will make it to India this year

I really doubt if the Linea with 140bhp engine will be sold @ 8lacs...

I think you should go in for a SX4

Linea will be 1248cc, 90bhp, VGT, DDIS oops MJD and the petrol will be 1.4, 77bhp.

Since you are going to drive alone - check out the Fiesta 1.6 - lovely drivers car, with good amount of horses on tap. And you can squeeze in the Sxi with ABS at this budget.

NHC-Vtec with ABS/airbags will be beyond your range. Though you'll have loads of space in the back, and the huge boot can squeeze in loads of nice ICE.

I would say with that budget, either go for the SX4 ZXi or the Fiesta 1.6. Both are good to drive, the Fiesta more so.
Since you have just got your licence and will be driving on roads for the first time (i assume and hope), what you need is a fun to drive car with good safety features. So the SX4 ZXi wins the race.

For 8 lacs, the best driver's car out there is Fiesta 1.6. Be wary of ford service though.

go for the SX4 Zxi .. In delhi its going to be OTR 7.3 L .. saves you 70 K for leather seats & 18 " alloys - LENSo ... go for it ... else wait for NHC Vtec - with abs / airbags , that is also going to be a wicked ride , but it is another month or so away ...

Pal I think the SX4 is a good choice. I have had mine for a week now and love the stance of this car. very aggressive and feels very safe and is true value for money. has a very commanding presence on road and feels like a mini suv.

Assuming that you are a college going age (Since you have mentioned that you got your liscence now)... Go for the Suzuki SX4 ZXi...

Its got great power (102 bhp), all the features you could show off (Autoclimate control, ABS, Airbags, Steering audio controls, 16' alloys), decent FE, and above all, looks sporty compared to the family car looks of the City...

Also, if you are Set on getting the Honda, wait a few months for the City to offer better value for your dads' money...

Also, to answer your questioniDSi= intelligent dual sequential ignition. (kinda like DTSi used by Bajaj)
