Thanks for the info Checkmate!

One further query: your deal seems the best I have heard yet as the general discount (for the Select), ranges from 20k to a max of 25k without any further warranty thrown in etc.

How did you manage it and was it because you paid in cash/cheque? I am also on the verge of making up my mind for a Cedia but will have to finance most of it. Do you think the discount will be less in my case?

Any further infor will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Dear Friends,
Who else in Mumbai has the CEDIA?

Please please please can you give me some contact details or some service records/experiences.
My ONLY worry is that there is ONE and ONLY ONE DEALER in Mumbai for Mitsubishi cars. that is Metro Motors.

My fear is that service quality and pricing of spares labour will be at his discretion since it is a MONOPOLY.
I DO NOT want a car that will make me feel miserable and suckered when I service the car. Plus I dont know much of car parts so can be easily fooled :((

I cant immagine driving to bangalore for servicing my car :(((((

Verna on the other hand seems to be peace of mind car with very low cost of spares etc.
power is awsome BUT HANDLING IS BELOW CEDIA HANDS DOWN.

What to do???
I want to book one by this saturday and end the SIX MONTH research.

Ps: RS (Skoda) is out due to astronomical cost in servicing.

Guys, sorry I was out with some other priorities.
Although I was watching this thread; but wasn't into car hunt for last 2 weeks.

Well I back again and shortlisted Aveo 1.6 Op. pack and Cedit Spirit.

I am currently negotiating with National Garage and Merto for the best deal.

Currently for Aveo I am getting
1. 33K discount on Aveo (dealer + corporate). This is expected to go till 55-55k as 2 of my colleagues are also convinced about car
2. + freebies - 3rd/100000km warranty, teflon, mud flap, mats

For Cedia:
Getting 30k discount and expecting it to get reach max 50k (sadly don't have anymore buyers with me for the car)

Both the dealers are giving option of 2% cash payout on finance.

I think I will take 1-2 weeks more; before I finalise the car.
I'll keep you all posted.

Bangy T-BHPians,

On the verge of booking a Cedia Sports here in Bangalore (both Southern and Lathangi very competitive in pricing) with a max discount yet of 35k plus free 3rd year warranty worth 6,250.

Was just wondering: Is there anyone else also approaching these dealers this/next week?

Hearing about Vishaltanksales's strategy of combining his office colleagues' offers makes me ask this question. Can a combined team of 2/3 buyers really bump up discounts to (say) 50k for the Cedia as well :-)?

You can surely get better deal with more bookings.
You can also try and bargain based on Corolla offers; toyota is offering huge discounts on all corollo varients.

URGENT !!! I just booked Cedia.

URGRENT!!!
i just booked my Cedia Sport on saturday (Red color).
why dint you mail or post 2 days early????
I kept posting but dint see anyone who was planning to buy from Mumbai.

I should get delivery this weekend (me b'th day)
so lets move quickly if we want to get additional stuffs.

I got the following discount from Metro
27K discount + ORVM guard + rubber floor mats
btw, the discount is 4% of loan amount and not the 2% you have got. so push them for the additional 2%.

Do you think we can still get something if we team up???
have alerady paid 80K as booking using card.

I would like to get the 3rd year extended warranty and the car cover as additional freebeeeeees

anyone has any wise ideas??

cheers
Ranjith

Congrats Ranjith. Enjoy the car.
@vishaltanksale
If you want to drive yourself, go for the Cedia.
I personally dont go on the resale value of a car, because you drive the car day in and day out and the cars which offer good resale value in India are unfortunately boring to drive.
In the recent 4 months 3 of my friends have brought new cars, and the one who is grinning the most (since the purchase) is the guy who opted for the Cedia. (The remaining two went for the SX4, and are happy as well).
Are you looking at gizmos or a car which handles like its a thoroughbred?

Sorry Ranjith but I wasn't aware. Infact I started discussion with Metro end of last week and wasn't sure of Cedia before that.

I don't know if we can do anyting with you already booked the car.
I am sure we could have pulled better deal.

Did you deal with Gabriel or Naushad at Metro?
I am supposed to get final best deal tomorrow...so lets c

Nothing to beat Aveo as far as looks and ride is concerned and had almost made up my mind for that. However had to take my Opel for servicing to Apex in Gurgaon and scene there was enough to convince me not to buy GM rude recpetionist , supervisor no where to be seen total Chaos with Tavera drivers all over the place .
My suggestion before you decide on Aveo pls. visit the GM service station might be an eye opener .
