Ford 1.4 could be a better. Suits your budget. Provided you bear with their horrible ***.

I guess the Ford Fusion 1.6 is made for people like you. It's got ample space, decent mileage that match your expectations, a really smooth transmission of power and not that good resale value and its a FORD!!!.

Ya i did check out on Ford Fusion. It seems to be a good car within the budget.
But i would like to know about its performance, when compare to ford fiesta.
But do you guys feel that it is a bit over - priced for the features that Ford offers?

AFAIK Ford Fusion has seen a big drop in price so it should no longer be overpriced.

The Fusion 1.6 is much better to drive when compared to the Fiesta 1.6. The fusion engine feels a lot more powerfull and peppy, though they both are the same engines. On the Fiesta i think it gives marginally higher mileage figures than on the fusion. For a drivers car, i think you should go for the fusion. There is a review on team bhp. The only thing negative i would say is that the suspension is a bot tight so as to give you perfect handling but this affects the ride quality. Check out the long term review n t-bhp.

ANd the new fusion is just VFM. Not at all overpriced now.

I wouldn't suggest any sedan, since it looks like you may be carrying 5+ persons and ample luggage frequently.

Ford Fusion, Tata Safari and the Scorpio fit the criteria well. The reason why you prefer petrol isn't clear, but I'm guessing it's the driving pleasure. If that's the case, IMHO, it's your misconception. The new era of Turbo / CRDE engines offers as much fun as any other petrol counterpart.

I suggest you test drive these vehicles, negotiate with the dealers and then make a choice.
