^^ The rest is Karnataka Road Tax. On top of that we possibly have the worst roads in the country .

Just go for Cedia. There is more than enough information available here for you to take this decision.

Reign: IMO, instead of calling it road tax, we should call it "pothole & crater tax"

Dude i beg to differ here. OPTRA doesn't handles like a boat. I agree the handling is not the best compared to Octavia but its does not handle like a boat.

Uh oh! Friend one thing that you probably missed out which would allow guys to give you a better set of inputs is how much do you run the car in an average month.

Based on that you have to decide first and foremost between a petrol and a diesel and then the right option would unfold itself.

my driving varies man... its about 1000-1200 kms/month now... have cut it down from 2500k's... my monthly running anyhow, won't affect my decision whether i want a petrol or diesel car... its all good... i'd buy the best i can in my budget you know, be it on any fuel... and the cedia does have decent mileage 12kmpl city, great roads here, traffics not an issue.. so i think am down with it... peace

Who are you kidding here? its one of the worst handling cars on the Indian road. Its so typical of GM as every single GM car I've driven has had horrid handling and a hard steering wheel that refuses to budge.. be it the optra or Pontiac Grand Prix SS or Impala LT or a Chevy Tahoe SUV. Anyway I'd leave that here as its getting offtopic.
