Hey guys, Isnt the Baleno very outdated compared to the Viva. The only good thing about the Baleno is its engine. The Viva Crdi also has a good diesel engine. Its good on performance and mileage too. The Baleno is a very very outdated car and I'm sure it isnt gonna last for more than a year or 2 in the Indian market. The Viva Crdi has just been introduced and is here to stay.

Getting outdated is one issue with baleno. Looks can be changed as suggested with fatter tyres, nice alloys, lether upholstry etc.

Guys how about Siena 1.6. I have heard that dealers are giving very good discounts and this is in fact a nice car.

Any suggestion for NHC, (barring the shape). does it offer better handling in city as comapred to Baleno? How much?

Wow, I dont know how I missed it but that is one sweet looking Baleno. The potential of this car is surely endless and the only major issue will be beautifying that ugly butt.

Hey Pankaj, as we were comparing the BAleno ANd the Viva Crdi,
one thing to note is that the viva is a full 1.5 to 1.75 laks onroad expensive than the Baleno LXI( It has PS PW CL)

Baleno is abt 6 laks on road delhi.....discounts available at max abt 25000
viva crdi is abt 7.5 laks on road delhi...hardly any discounts
The Baleno is as almost as powerful as the old City 1.5
BAleno 0-100 is approx 11 sec
Viva 0-100 is approx 14 sec
The viva is as fast in acceleration as the Accent 1.5 GVS

the baleno returns 10-11 km per liter in city
viva returns approx 12 kmpl

Also the petra is cheap , but check the resale of any Fiat product .
U get one year used 1.6 Siena for less than 3 laks...

Keeping the price difference in mind , I would suggest u to go for Baleno.
ad the balene is definately more fun to drive
And as all said 14 inch tyres are a must on a Baleno.

lastly, Pankaj , keep updated on what u fnally bought.
