bought an sept 1997 esteem vx

hi guys
my dad picked up an oct 97 golden colour!!( yest when i was writing my sem exam..)(all the bumpers,rear light,everything painted gold!! with crome everywhere!)) esteem done 68k vx version
this car was meant for my sis,he picked it up for 1.70 lacs(paper ad,sunday's dc)! without insurance,
another 8k went yest for front arm work,all oil change,etc
got an offer of 1.80 lacs from an very close friend of my father's,
my dillemma is wheter to keep this esteem or not??
this is the type 1 version same as gto's

my other option is to sell this and pick up an dec 1999 white automatic transmission esteem vx type 2 done 34k ikms.for 2.18 lacs

help guys!
also pics will be uploaded by tomm if i decide to keep the car coz i need help in selecting the alloys!,looks like i will become rudra's junior brother(gold + crome!) if we keep the car!

also i bought a sony cybershot dsc-p93 5.1 mega pixel camera from mulani's on baazee for 14.4k,got it yest morning,camera is good,looks similar to my bro's p73,
all the camera *experts on the site,how is the camera?any plus or neg points?

the new ones interiors are better and its an auto, so its simpler for ure sis to drive
besides im not oo fond of the golden chrome type lights

Well, i agree with others..... auto is easier to drive and the newer interiors are better.

u said it! best part is now my sis is gunning after my safari if by any chance dad decides to keep this one!...and she will def get it coz she is better than me in almost everything!.....looks like rudra u gonna get competition!
plus i felt my dad payed toooo much for it,woulnt have given a paise over 1.60 for this vehicle...

68k is a lotta mileage and I feel you paid a bit more for a car of this vintage and u mentioned that you spent some amount of money after buying it as well. An auto would be easy for your sis? Hows the condition of the white one?

white one requries some work(clutch,brakes,oils) too but overall better then the gold one(electrical,front suspension(done yest),oils(done yest))....now to sit and convince my dad.......
white one is still on original paint and the current owner is the second owner,asking price is 2.18 lac non negotiable +5k for the broker...this gold one is an single owner piece who covered it up with gold and chrome!
(bumpers,mirrors,door locks:gold,
crome grill,crome strip,crome bumper guards and wheel caps(changed to std maruti ones today))

anyways if i am gonna keep the vehicle finalized the alloys they are the bsa 229, price here is ranging from 13k to 19k for the same alloy, what abt in banglore and mumbai?

the company is bsa alloys,malyasian made
what would you guys suggest? will upload a side profile tomm,so that all the p-shop geniuses can work thier magic!

details of the rim:
BSA 229 Size : 13X6.0
Hole : 4
P.C.D : 98-114.3
Offset : -5
CtrHole : 60.2/67.1
Colour : F/S,VSC/A

will the std oe 155 tyre fit on it properly??(coz width of the rim is 6.0) or should i switch tyres between my e-1000's 175s and this goldie's 155?
whats the pdc of the esteem?:100?offset?

any other allloy wheeel suggestion??keep im mind the colour of the car.....gold

Suggest u sell it!! i doubt u'll get another offer like that. Besides the auto Esteem is a better choice anyday. But the auto Esteem requring clutch work at 34K?? Make sure everything is well with the gearbox..
