Listen to your heart beat! I listened to mine 6 months back and bought myself Cedia Select and am very proud of my wise and hearty decision.

If your heart is on a TATA car (SAFARI), go for it.

Hi,

Thank you all your time and advice.

Last two days I have been trying hard to convince my better half and parents for buying Safari. Finally they convinced me to buy Cedia :(. Their logic is as follows

Safari is for people:
· who have drivers to drive them around
· who travel a lot on the high ways
· who travel in groups
· who live in places where there are no proper roads
· who have lot of money to burn
· who have another car for family to drive around

Since I do not qualify on any of the points above, safari is not right for me.

I did my best but couldn’t get any where . Finally they told me that this time I buy what they want and next time it is my choice (I hope they keep the word two years later).

I have now agreed to buy Cedia.

Mod's Note: We have said this numerous times but I will say it again. Please do not use an external editor. Your post is not very legible to read anymore.

why do spices (all spouses) play spoilsport? this idea had cropped into my head (2.2 VTT) but it was successfully burnt and crashed by the bitter half!

Hey, I guess I was the lucky one. I have an Esteem, which I gave to my wife and have gone for the Safari 2.2. Guess what? My wife loves it ie the Safari. We are 3 in the family (2 of us and a 6 yrs old daughter) and have already done 2 trips in 2 months. I had dreamt of a safari for almost 1 yr, till the 2.2 was launched. I followed my heart and have no regrets.

Anyway, all the best for the Cedia.

Welcome to the Cedizen's club. You will be happy about your decision, particularly, size and nature of your family. Unless you want to go outing with big size family, (for which I guess you would hire a Innova, to leave the hastles of driving to the driver...).
Good Luck and Enjoy your New Cedia...

Booked Cedia

I have taken some more time to convince my family about Safari. Took them on a test drive. Nothing could change their stand.

So finally i have booked Cedia sport today. Dealer said that the car can be expected in 10 days. He will give the exact date tomorrow.

I have got 30k dealer discount.

Good decission buddie. One good reason i second your decission is that once you move up the ladder (buying an suv) there is no point you can turn arround(go back to a sedan). So the suv option can wait some more years so that you have enough options by the time you sell off this car.Which color?

Good Decision and yes probably you have to wait till you finish your dream of owning a Safari. But look at the positive side - Current model of Safari is decade old and which will probable change in the 2010.

Thanks for the wishes.

I have booked warm silver. This again is the color my better half liked. I yielded since its my families choice to have Cedia, so they get the color they want. I guess it will be unique color for sports.

I have planned to go for the following

- Michelin PP2 205/60-R15 (Quoted 1000 for each tyre along with returning the OEM tyres)
- VKool/ Luminar AIR75 film for wind shield, all glasses (Quoted 15K)
- Component speakers (probably JBL) and an amp to power them
- RC remote control for the steering
- A party for my good friends

Alloys will be some time later, when budget co-operates.
