The prices mentioned are quite reasonable, considering a depreciation factor of 15%. If you do not need the auto tranny, then don't buy it; you will get low mileage and the asking price is also more. Bargain with the owner of the first car, 1.5 Gxi, and try to get it for around 5.20 lakhs.

Is the 2004 model the ZX version? When was the ZX realeased?

I doubt that. If my memory serves me right then the City ZX versions were released sometime in late 2005 or early 2006

Cheers

I asked 1.5 gxi manual version for 5.3L. Am I paying more?? What is the typical mileage for CVT in city conditions?

Both are not ZX models.

I think you should start from 4.5 - 5L.

I bought a Jan 05 NHC GXi for 5 l. This is in Mumbai and was in Sept 07. Good thing was it was run only 14k kms and was excellently maintained, since the owner is a colleague and used to be on tour.
In my opinion, you should not pay more than 5 L for that Apr 04 NHC considering that the car cost in Bangy is at least 10- 15% more than Mumbai.

Don't go for the CVT since its much costlier than the GXi and will hit your mileage by at least 2 km per liter. But if you want driveability and don't want the hassles of frequent gear changes in traffic, you may consider.

Typical mileage for the GXi- non-CVT is about 12-13 kms in city conditions. You can shave off 2 kms for the CVT.
