- 115bhp vs 100 bhp power
- 175Nm vs 146 Nm torque
- Airbags
- All wheel Disc brakes with ABS+EBD
- More space everywhere
- Better handling and ride quality
- Way better driving position

What you don't get
- Leather seats
- Slightly dated switchgear and instrumentation compared to Fiesta
And the Fusion is just around 6.4L OTR!!!! but you dont get ABS and airbags. If you are looking for performance. Trust me. There is nothing out there in an anywhere near price range to beat this. However if you are looking for comfort. Please stay away from the fusion. Dont decide without a TD of the fusion. Trust me. Its worth the experience.

I have the 1.4 Fiesta & this is in itself tempting to drive on the limit with the superb chassis.
Get the 1.6...trust me you wont regret it.

Looks like BUSA has had an effect on you.
Pete offers products for diesel engines, while AFAIK the Fiesta 1.6 is available as of yet in only a petrol avatar.

I own a Fiesta 1.4 ZXI petrol and if you're going to drive mainly in city with occasional highway cruise, then with better mileage than Fiesta 1.6, this
suits you well...Although it is lesser powered than 1.6, compared to any other
car in its segment, you'll never feel loss of power and you've the advantage of
the same chassis, gearshift, drive postion and other goodies, fiesta 1.6 offers...

Drive both and decide...

Thank you all for your quick responses and informative suggestions. I'll definately gv Lancer Cedia a glance and if possible i will take a test ride as well, as some of you have suggested and let you people know about it.

Aveo is indeed a VFM for a driver driven car. Except for the looks, build and ride comfort, lacks everything else driver/performance oriented.

Take a test drive and you'll know what everyone else is talking.

I've been owning one for the past 10 months, and enjoying myself thorougly.
The only flip side is that the stock ICE does not play mp3, though it sounds great.
You also do not get airbags in any version of the Fiesta
@vnabhi

I think latest model fiesta - it can play mp3 (my zxi is capable of playing
mp3 without any problem)
Thanks

Seems you are more confused now - not sure which car to select?
See this thread - most of them are recommending Fiesta.

Close your eyes - and take a decision

@kooldudedelhi

As recommended by many, go for fiesta - its Drivers car.
You have everything 1.6 SXi variant
Incase you are not very particular about ABS and Alloys, then go for 1.6ZXi latest model !

LOL, those comments of mine were long, long ago. Yes, the Fiesta does play mp3 from mid 2008 models---I'd strongly expressed my disappointment to the MD of Ford India, and you guys are now the beneficiaries.

The new sxi and the S also come with alloys and one does not have to pay extra as I had done.

Yes, I have realized after posting this.
And I wanted to amend the post, it was too late (edit permission time was over)?
Thanks

truly said, Fiesta is a better car than aveo,
one of my cousins has got a optra few years back and i had a word with him about the experience and he straight away refused to go for chevrolet, the service and spares part availability is a big letdown for him.
