Finding VIN:
for most new cars you can find the VIN without opening the hood/bonnet. If I am not wrong, all euro cars have it on the windshield below the wiper baldes.

hyundai cars have some barcode sticker near the C-pillar. does it have VIN?

Decoding VIN:
Seach google for "X VIN decoder" (where x is Ford/Toyota,etc.). Some sites offer very generic/basic decoding and some offer detailed information.

Booked a 1.6 SXi, color Brush Steel.
(Mom was against black, Fiance was against Red, so settled for Brush Steel)

Expecting delivery sometime this weekend, either Friday or a Saturday cheers:

Congrats RROD. Welcome to the 1.6 'sexi' club! I am sure you will enjoy every moment of driving it, be it on city roads or on the highway.
Brush steel seems to be a new colour. Mine is Paprika Red, and it is tough maintaining it, as dust shows up on it merley an hour after cleaning it. Black is even tougher to maintain, I am told.

Got my black 1.6 SXi yesterday, for the pooja.
The dealer took it back for Registration, and will close all the formalities today and deliver the car to me.
