Thanks a lot for all your suggestions. Its great to friends suggestions within a day. After those advises i have to back foot ....

But even an chennai number lancer of that 99-2000 model GLXd costs almost 3+ if its single owner. No where in TN, i can get a good lancer below 3. if its single owner.

By the way, as far as mine is concerned, it has service record from mitsu authorised service. and its been owned by company and maintained. But have to think other options ....

Yes i agree i can get an used single owner lancer diesel from other states for around 2.3- 2.6 lakhs . But my dad prefers TN regn. even kerala is ok. But as far as i have searched for about 4-5 months in TN, kerala. with around 15-20 brokers, i couldnt get an car with that price range below 3.1l.

Coimbatore cars get good resale value because of car crazy people. there is an opinion that coimbatore people maintain cars perfectly. and mostly people park cars in home garages and shades, not in streets. So the paint and exterior would be free from scratches and grimes. This is the reason coimbatore cars are costly.

problem of repairs may persist if your car breakdown. if engine has been modded than all mechanics may not be able to repair it. according to my opinion these mods decrease engine life because mods are done for performance or fuel economy , more the fuel economy or performance lesser is the engine life as compared to stock engine.

but the ODO is 399000 kms. its been ovehauled at 3 lakhs it seems. and the engine looks and feels like new. so they must have rebuilded the engine, else the performance wont be like this at this 4 lakh kms.

price offered for 3.2 lakhs, but we offerd 2.9 lakhs. since its single owner and its good piece. because in four months of search i never came across a lancer of 99 model below 3.2 lakhs, that too not upto the mark. Is it worth?[/quote]

wow!!!!!!! 3.2lahks for a 99 model come to banaglore you can get a 2000-01 model in and around that price

and 4lakh km are too much not worth it at all
