any reason for choosing petrol alone? the way i see it, the getz crdi vgt with a pete can kick some dust seriously. the initial pull with a pete a free flow and after market air filter will pump it to 135+bhp, all of this can be got for under 7.5L, so the way i see, its one of the best buy for performance. what do you say about that?

If you can stretch to the Zxi go for it although I believe it's 70K more then the Vxi. DOHC = Dual Overhead cam? All SX4 variants have the same engine.

I still feel that since you can wait till 2009, you should. There are some really good cars coming this year.

Please go to every Maruti dealer in your city and test drive all the demo SX4's before buying. Pay particular attention to the EPS and make sure that the car doesn't go left and/or right according to it's wish!

[quote=blue2ki;771620]thanks for all the input guys. i guess waiting is the right option.

@karanraheja - nexgen honda city specs/pics?

Well I have already posted the thread on the Inspiration Pics of Next Generation Honda City here is the link :

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...onda-city.html

Unfortunately no idea about the specs. But I heard it will be a little more expensive than the Present Gen City.

7L Car

Since you don't like SX4, Verna, Aveo, Lancer, NHC, Fiesta.

Not sure what is your criteria of rejection ? Are you going purely by Looks and sportiness ? i.e. don't care about utility / mileage / space ?

I assume that in the 'Sedan boat' Logan would be out of the question.

@rider60 - not that i have anything against diesel cars, there are a lot of good diesels, but ive always felt that petrol is petrol, so stick with gas.
yes, the getz is 110bhp stock, you can make it churn out more horses, but i think only the new embera and elantra are the only good cars hyundai makes.

@amit - sorry, my mistake had wrong facts. i had the pricing of the sx4_zxi_without leather in mind instead of the vxi; thinking that was the vxi price. the 3 trims priced here are:
vxi/zxi/zxi(leather) - 6.13L / 7.02L / 7.36L
yup DOHC = dual overhead camshaft. stronger cam. so prefer the sx4 to others + great ground clearance. ill surely schedule a test drive in a day or two. thanks for the pointers, will take notice of them.
will wait till i find out, the pricing/report of all the cars in question, if they turn out to like 9-10L. then id buy the sx4.

@karanraheja - thanks for the link. looked great in them sketches.

@esteemer - i know, gotta wait for some more time, its alright but its very hard. hate the wait. the imbeciles should launch them sooner.

@fillmore - don't like the
lancer - had one earlier, sold it.
NHC - dont like the looks, the old VTEC was the best. 106bhp stock.
fiesta - know 3 guys who are really unhappy with it.
sx4 - have narrowed down to this, will wait hoping other cars come in my price range. space and utility is a consideration, mileage is not.
LOGAN - is that a spacecraft? hahaha. no way brother. never

They are unhappy with the 1.6? Or is it the 1.4 that you are referring to?

Yea, am curious about this too. What kind of problems are they facing? I personally would pick the Fiesta 1.6 in this bracket (sxi costs nearly 8L, but close enough).

sorry, they are all diesels. 1.4L engines. not the petrol ones, found out today.
but if you go in for a fiesta 1.6_sxi versus. sx4_zxi, sx4 is a better option.

@aks316 - nah. ruled out the aveo.

mate.. just go what your heart says and book a SX4 zxi to finish off the gamble .. you won't regret it. BTW, you'll love the attention from your peers and passer-bys!

why dont you stretch a little and go for innova?

yea, i know its not a car and is a diesel. but its far better refined with best quality amongst the available lot. you can manage a G1 variant in around 8-8.2L
