why run two similar threads?

as I said in another thread. Fiesta is more fun to drive than aveo. But the top end version is just about 1-1.5 lacs cheaper than the cedia. Cedia fits the bill perfectly.

Well, the Prices here in bangalore is too much.
OTR is almost 1 lakh more. (excluding discounts)
Also the 3 yr warranty is 15999 in bangalore( I confirmed it with GM Call Center), as compared to 12.5 as quoted by Ashish.

Really !!! - I thought it should be around 60K more. There is a discount of around 30K.

a) 15999/- is chevy promise in which you keep collecting the bills of the service and repairs and if it goes above 15999/- in 3 years, you get the balance reimbursed from the GM.

b) 12500/-. This is a new scheme effective 1st week march (still going on) in which you prepay 12.5K and you get services and repairs free for next 3 years. I think this should be same across India since this is offered by the company and not the dealers.

yes Bangalore price is HIGH!!!
Aveo 1.4LS cost 7.15 after ALL discounts (30K discount)
Aveo 1.6 cost 8.2 after 35K discount...
The 3 year warranty depends on each model,
eg: Aveo you need to pay 9563/-
Optra you pay 9854/-
etc...
This is what currently available for this month.
p.S. Vijay & Sundaram have their own way of giving discounts or warrnty. Vijay gives warranty free (but no dicounts), but sundaram charges 9.5K for Aveo. (but minimum 13K discount)

Aveo meets your requirements better

Based on your priorities, Aveo seems to be the better choice, with great interiors and good build quality.
The interiors of the 1.4 LS Limited Edition are great, everything from the way the dash looks to the way the buttons on the stereo feel is really satisfying. It is really an example for other manufacturers - how you don't have to screw the Indian consumer with cheap and tacky materials in interiors.
The other cars in its class don't come close - not sure about NHC, but it doesn't really match on features like alloys, leather seats, etc.

Off topic, but cars in Bangalore sound really expensive. They must be using all that extra money to ensure infra is upgraded .

Well, well; If only that were true.
Its almost 2 yrs now that I have left Delhi & been in Bangalore, & Honestly I Have NEVER seen a road being repaired except for the new flyover projects(more chaos & mess till its over); Ya I have seen some PATCH works been done. More like Stitching square pieces of cloths on a denim torn at MANY places.

In Delhi, there is never a resting day for them(well, almost NIL). So what if Bangalore is not the capital city, At least do some justice to the "IT CAPITAL of INDIA" tag !!

Aveo had a facelift in Sept 07 and at the same time the gear had an improvement exercise. Make sure you get the car manufactured not before Dec 07 only if the discount is really huge. At the time of resale what matters is the registration date.

I too support the idea of going in for Cedia or Honda City Vtech if budget is not the constraint for you. Else go in for Fiesta 1.6 (all the 3 options are keeping in mind that you are going to drive the car).

If it is Chauffer driven then go in for Honda City EXI or GXI or Verna CRDi.
