The Esteem Di has stopped production due to BSIII norms.. along with it the Ikon 1.8D and Zen D have also been stopped.. please:

Dude, You can get the Ambassador Grand between 4.5 and 5.0 Lacs.. More over consider the advantages..

1> 6-ppl all in comfort. Amby rear seats are the best, even better than the merc.
2> Power Steering, this makes a huge difference trust me.
3> A/C the one feature that has been lacking for quite some time.
4> Powerful Isuzu 2.0 liter engine giving you upto 17-18 kmpl..
5> I think it also comes with a Tacho meter, but you can confirm it.
6> Power windows are also an option i think..
7> Most important, any mechanic can repair this vehicle and spares are abundant and at a very economical price.

Nothing gets better than that..

Actually Amby is good...but I think HM should do something like WV did to Mini :D

They(HM) have indeed made some neat cosmetic changes on the Amby & i think they have a new name for it too as i saw one recently but cant remember it.

It has slanting oval headlamps.

I had a test drive of Marina. I am satisfied with the comfort. But not with the performance. When the Sales person took the steering, the engine given strange sound as if the front wheel is scraching with some engine part or the front wheel is too tight as if something is holding. It came in all the gears(1-5) with Full AC ON.
And in bumpy roads, I heared rear back tyres sound strange. It is sounding as a Van back tyres.
Sales person tells the sounds need to be corrected as it is a new vehicle. But it ran for 32 kms and I doubt whether these guys are aware of this sound. My parents liked this car (Space wise). And I heared there is no resale value for any TATA cars.
So, guys please comment on this.
I got a offer for 93 TRAX for 60K. it is giving 13kms/lt. It is Diesel. Is it worth buying? Just for time being untill my family is used for City driving as this will be our first experience with a 4 wheeler.
Shall I wait for any new launch? or shall I go for a Esteem Di?

It has to be Marina unless you can find a good used accent CRDi.
Resale is not all that bad.
Look out for a used Tavera too or qualis.
