Optra 1.6 NY

Is Optra 1.6 NY edition comes with ABS and Dual airbag?
If yes, what will be the price?
If not, can I add these two features? what will be the extra cost?
Pl. clarify.

Thanks.

Hey VMG,
The optra doesnot come with ABS, Dual airbags.
They are not available as options either.
The car costs 849 - 9.25 on road mumbai.
These are last months prices and mayhave been changed.

Actually this is a little confusing. According to Chevy website, the NY edition does come with ABS and Air bags. However, they don't tell how the NY edition is different from the normal Optra, or is it the same thing.

The normal Optra 1.6 doesn't have ABS/Airbags. Is the NY Edition 1.6 Optra different?

Wasn't the NY edition brought in a while back as the first to sport the new grill that has now gone on to become OE on all models.

I doubt the NY edition is still sold, as it's features are probably standard on the top-of-the-line model now.

Hey Rtech,
u are getting confused with the design edition and NY.
The features mentioned in the ads are only on the top of the line version.
I checked the brochure.
no mention of it..

Optra Petrol with ABS and Airbags?

I just came to know that GM had added ABS and Airbags to its Petrol version and the top end is going to cost 11.40 Lacs On-road, Bangalore. I was given to understand that these safety features were available only on the top-end diesel version.

Anybody esle who could confirm this?

Optra Magnum 1.6LT comes loaded with more goodies than its 2.0 LT diesel version. Airbags, ABS, discs on all 4 wheels, leather seat covers, sun/moon roof, double din MP3 player is standard! IMO, the OTR for petrol should be much less as you should be able to get the 2.0LT at 12 lakhs OTR.
