IIRC, there is on Silver VRS (Peted) listed in the classified pages of AutoCar India (August' 10 Issue), although not sure if the ad is for Delhi.

Will check again tonight and let you know.

Cheers,

most of the vRS available now in the market would have crossed 40-50K kms mileage atleast. These cars would definately need through checkups and replacement of following parts:
1. Timing Belt
2. Brake pads and discs
3. Tires
4. Fuel Pump
5. Clutch
6. AC Coil
7. Suspension tune up
8. I'm sure one or two sensors would be on the brink of giving up as well. Dust is the biggest enemy.

Apart from this there are many other issues which can creep up which others can point out. Buy vRS only if you have time, patience, alternate car and money in hand.

Thanks buddy for the advice. I am almost through with a deal. I found one 2004 December vRs(Grey) with Odo only 33k absolutely scratch less. Got it scanned from wheel force , rajouri garden - they are Bosch service center.

They say clean car less driven. It has covered 14500kms in 1215 days as per scan.

Works to be done is Service, Break rotor and pads to be changed.
Will post the details soon.

Yes i've been to wheel force, the bosch service center. Used to get my OHC serviced from there before automax honda came in mayapuri. Have you got the car checked from skoda as well?? i would suggest taking the car to fahrenhiet.
Is the mileage genuine?

My Vrs - 45000km - still on original rotors. Front pads were changed at 35000km. Rear lasted about 28000km.

ajmat these were all pre-buy suggestion by the wheel force guys. Certainly will re-evaluate the before changing. I think a little laith work should resolve the rotor issue.

Now the news. I bought this car yesterday. Closed the deal all cash at Rs 4.75L

Here is the details

Model : 12/2004
Color : Diamond Grey
Odo : 33610
Status of Car : sparingly used after 2008.
Service Records : Yes
Duplicate Key : Yes
Key Tag : No. they even dont know about it. Assured me to check for it.

Things i plan to do and need advice from vRs owners

Immediate :
1. Service & Oil Change - Thought of Helix - Any other suggestion.
2. Re inspect break pads again. Rotor will hold back for a while
3. Service interval display reset.
4. Air filter checked
5. Will get the timing belt checked. Plan to get it changed as its six years old and more concern no being used regularly.
6. Injector cleaning - How about system G ?

Any other which i need to check immediately as the vRs was less used for 2 years.

Advice required - Skoda Octavia RS 1.8 Turbo - Bought - Diamond Grey/2004-img_8963-medium.jpg
