For ANHC

ANHC for sure.Just bought one a week back. The car is more newer, fresher & handling superior to the Verna for sure, though the addons like fog lamps, Climate controlAlloy wheels are missing though the ANHC cost around 10Lakhs. But a Honda is a Honda after all brother.

The 1.6S has different suspension and the engine management is tuned more aggressively. The difference is not just cosmetic. It is a true Sports variant (unlike Honda and Toyota's true cosmetic ones).

I would any day go for Honda. However, from whatever I read on this forum, please check out Fiat Linea as well. But, not sure if it is worth if you are considering Petrol as I feel that are a better option for diesel.

ANHC is not really worth the price. The Verna is not a great handler but it's a nice car. If you have the money to spend on a ANHC, you'd be better off with the Linea Diesel. Otherwise the alternative to the Verna would be the Linea Petrol.

ANHC - Better design, power and handling. I think it is worth the premium.

Please avoid Fusion ... its gonna be discontinued soon.

Also you can consider Linea Petrol Emotion/E-Pack. Most spacious, best features and comfortable ride in that price bracket. Only gripe is its not exactly a path-blazer.

And if you really have the budget for ANHC @9+ lakhs, I'd say instead put those extra bucks on Verna diesel or Linea diesel. You'll love the extra mileage!

If you can spare 9L on ANHC, why don't you consider the Linea Diesel and Verna Diesel. Ok your monthly running is low, but compare what you are getting in 9L in ANHC, Linea D & Verna D. Both the Diesels - Verna & Linea
1) Are far better equipped than ANHC
2) Are very bit less spacious than ANHC
3) After Sales Service is equally good & low cost of spares than ANHC. (P.S. - Linea has greater service intervals compared to any other car in its segment- You save here too)
4) Are low on running cost, which in this case you don't need.
5) Are very driver-friendly car equally good as ANHC.
6) Can't comment on Linea's resale but Verna Crdi resale is as good as of ANHC, especially in & around Kota.

If you could post your requirements more in detail, fellow members will more wisely advise you. It's better to avoid Linea Petrol and Verna Petrol in context of ANHC for sure but you could re-work your options between ANHC, Verna D & Linea D.
All the best! Cheers!

ANHC a way better car than the Verna.
However, I suggest that you add 1.6 S Fiesta to your plate and then compare.

Both cars handle well, with the 1.6 S edging the ANHC.
But like the OHC vTEC, the car would grow over you

While the Verna Diesel is a decent car, the petrol engine is BAD. On the other hand the ANHC has arguably the best powerplant (in its range) in the business. The only negative about the City I can think of is that it is not fully loaded, in fact the specs are a bit sparse.

Just curious, what's so bad about verna petrol? Whats the city mileage?
Linea (P) gives around 10 kmpl in city BTW. I feel its decent for a sedan.
