How much one should expect for a 100KM driven and a month old Honda Civic Sports !

A known of mine is looking out for selling his newly acquired Honda Civic Sports - White in color, it costed him somewhere around 13.25 net on-road in Delhi.

How much depreciation should he expect for the same ?? I have given him a rough idea of atleast a depreciation of 50-75K if sold to a direct customer.

If he tries hard enough, he can palm it off to somebody with a 25K-30K discount on OTR.

That still would be a great deal considering he may have done some additional work for interiors etc.

Then a maximum 50K discount on OTR would be a good deal. Anything lower would be a lost deal.

Around 1 Lac down on OTR.
Most Important - Owner Serial Changes.

Moreover a person spending 12.5 lakhs can easily spend a little more (75k) to get the sports.
- Plus what causes the hindrance is that you can get the top model(non-sports).One would think of buying that from the showroom brand new.
-Typical thinking - why is the person selling so new,it may have some big problem.

Exactly. The new owner will be the second owner, and re-sale value will take a hit.

A new car is new car , Second owner goes for the car because first one has taken the hit of depreciation ,

So if the car is registered at least the person has to bear brunt of being first owner.

+1 - If the car is registered, the first owner has to take the hit of depreciation. Person selling should also find a customer who wants the same colour of car and same specifications. Additionally, if there is not a significant difference in the prices, all potential owners of a car of this bracket will go in for a new one !

@bhatt - I bilieve it is the manual one. Also, he dosen't have any objection as far as new owner is transferring on his name.

But i believe for registration in pune you might land up paying registration taxes again !! (Correct me)

You're right on the registration part -- i am actively looking for an auto tranny car and would have considered paying for the re-registration
