The car must be smaller than a Octy/Corolla/Optra/Elantra
I'd recommend a 1.6 Optra - it's not 'smaller' but a damn sight cheaper with great ride and space.

Second recommendation would be a Lancer but I'd say since your sis alreday had a City, it wouldn't really be an upgrade.

Or you could go for the Adventure which has a very good suspension - however the seats aren't that nice - they're too upright and so are the head rests - it's just impossible to get comfy and go to sleep in them.

Or you could buy an old merc e class ..... (W123) they're pretty good !

seriously Optra 1.6 ++++++

IF your sis is not in a great hurry, then i would recommend you to put the purchase on hold for a few months, as Fabia is to launch soon, also the new Mitsubishi Cedia.

so yea, amongst the existing choices, as Sahil mentioned, keeping the tyre pressure a lil less than the prescribed, has helped a lot of ppl in steadying there NHC! this was also recomended in the AutoCar magazine. heard it also improves the road grip in the NHC.
