1) I think this is rumor. This car actually has waiting period. Who will replace a car with waiting period even in recessions times ?
Dzire had met with instant success that others can just only imagine. No way Maruti is going to replace this car.

2) Suzuki is currently busy with small cars like YR9 and YE3. So they are less likely to focus on replacing a sedan that is selling higher than a couple of small cars from its own stable.

I think the word must be updated. For E-IV norms, the car's petrol motor might be replaced and diesel unit will receive mostly ECU update.

So its update of motors, not replaced.

3) Maurti is facing constraint with diesel engine capacity, so I think it is leading way for bigger waiting period. I feel its inhuman for anybody to wait for more than 15-20 days for any car. And not more than 3 days for spares.

@mods, I request to lock the topic as there is no concrete and mostly as we all know, this car wont be replaced soon.

Maruti will not stop the production of Dzire. It will take some long time for completing the production of already booked Dzire. My friend got delivered his Dzire after 7 long months. But he was the most happy person in the world when he got the key. So the company have to be that stupid to stop such a successful car.

So IMO, there may be a minor face lift, and the company may introduce new sedans like kizashi( did I spell it correct) but not by stopping Dzire.

While the Swift has a great bum, the Ritz's rear end can't get much worse can it?

I feel the production might be temporarily stopped to make necessary upgrades in the assembly line for the engines to meet the Euro IV norms. While the DDIS will be slightly retuned, the G series petrol engine would most probably be replaced with the K series unit from the Ritz.
