Nov '09 Corolla Sport - What price to pay?

Hi All,

I have been offered a Corolla Sport that was registered in Nov 2009 & done about 3000 Kms for about 11 lakhs. He bought it for about 12.75 Lakhs. The owner is selling because he is not happy with the driving position after using it. The insurance is clean.
1. Please suggest good price
2. Let me know if this is a good car to buy. I travel about 1000Kms a month
3. Any downside in buying the sport model?
4. Any must have add ons to this car that will make it even better once i buy this.

Thanks & looking forward to your responses

1. Your driving is avg 33km a day petrol Altis I assume she is is good for this
2. Sports I guess would have the bodykit spoilers etc offered standard for limited period last year with special low price tag was 11. somthing in mumbai not sure of where you are at. So price he is quoting may be high unless the 11 odd in mumbai was ex showroom. I would discount her by 25% on showroom so say 9.5 to 10 I think that is what he is getting at anyway by offering her at 11
3. None that I can think of as the car is exactly the same as the regular altis.

Don't take the driving position as a reason at face value I would prod further/do a complete check of the car by company showroom in chennai, such quick sales should be checked for accident repair or any other damage flood etc

Have you checked the car out? Its pretty strange that someone doesn't like the driving position and never realized it when he TDed it. Get it checked at a Toyota service center and then consider buying it.

EDIT: Looks like cannonball beat me to it.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your comments.
I am getting the car tomorrow.

Please do suggest any add ons or mods that will make the car look & ride better.
The sunfilm on the car is very dark - I prefer something lighter - Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Congrats on your buy.
Whats the deal ?
I would suggest no exterior mods to Corolla Sport. It has all the bells and whistles. Keep it simple.
For sunfilms try V-Kool, 3M they have variety of sunfilms
