prices revised for the hyundai elantra .

hi guys

got a call from a local hyundai dealer representative here in hyd.

she informed me that the price of the elantra crdi is now rs:9.13 lacs ex showroom after discounts and all.

will get to know the revised petrol prices by tomo.

think this has been done to counter the fiesta diesel/pertol range?

feel the car is worth right now after the revised price withh all the safety and extra goodies.

In delhi, the ex-showroom price was 10.1L and on road was 11L. After 1 lakh discount which all the dealers are giving its 9.1L and 10.1L. So i am wondering what price they reduced. Elantra crdi is a lovely car if they can sell it for 8.5L on road. Anything above that is overkill.

The Elantra CRDi was 10.52 on-the-road in Cochin during August...if they have officially reduced the price by a lakh, its killer value for money at 9.5 on the road...that engine is to die for, and the rest of the car is pretty good even though there's nothing really outstanding.

If you get a disc of 1 Lakh, I guess you could go in for one of Pete's Tuning Boxes and pump up the power to about 135 bhp (I dont have the exact figures) and have a hot car thats also cheap to run!

Spoke to Hyundai @Kolkata right now ...

They are quoting 8.53 for the GT (base petrol) .. Insurance and registration free
Edit : Ex-showroom 8.53, Insurance 33K, Regn/Road Tax 31K

.. I mentioned people are getting 1L off .. the guy quickly said they are open to negotiations

But I don't see it falling below 8L OTR ..

Now we're getting to the pricepoint the Elantra should have been sold at from day one.

Problem is, nobody likes to see their vehicle value drop by a couple of lakhs overnight (remember the Cielo pricecuts?), so by doing this, are Hyundai basically putting to rest the Elantra?

Or would it go the Baleno way i.e. sales jump after the price drop.

Guess we'll have our answer in a few months.

Very true .. if it does come down to 7.2 levels as predicted by @tsk in another thread , then it could redefine the market .. but I think it's unlikely that they'll price it so close to the accent CRDi .. even if it be the petrol Elantra.

The petrol elantra is bull ****.
What about the CRDi.
A below 10L price is just perfect. OTR that is w/o discounts.

hey all, i just spoke to a dealer here in Hyderabad regd the Elantra crdi, and he quoted me the following for hte CRDI.

10,35,000 - Showroom Price
93,155 - life tax
38,183 -Insurance
----------------
11,66,338 = now from this price he is discounting straight 1 lk off! so that gives the figure of 10,66,338!!!!! and in this, might abe able to talk some more discount, that i didnt talk about.

i would like to know why is it that they are giving away such big discounts on it? is there a new model on the corner? coz i want to buy a diesel car of that range , in Jan-06 so what do u ppl say? should i go for the elantra now as the discounts are there, (could be the discounts are to do away with this year models) or wait and take a Jan-06 model, (will the discounts be there at that time?
Generally they do this when therez a new model coming out! please let me know.

Insane,

why not look at the Octavia in that budget too ?

The Elantra CRDi is an awesome car too at that price...with all goodies available . the only problem being its not selling. so the prices have been revised to get the sales going . well u can still negotiate as u say and see what price u finally get !

and i firmly beleive that if you want a car now , get it . dont wait for discounts later on. that is what i think .........
