It's on today's Time of India, 6.88L for an Elantra GTi by both the Hyundai dealers of Bangalore. Must be a factory discount.

Infact for city driving it will outperform the VTEC.Moreover spare parts for Hyundais are cheap and a paid service costs 2500rs.
I wonder, why would you compare 127BHP 1.8L Elantra Petrol with 100 BHP City ZX 1.6L Vtec? Elantra has lot more gadgets like ABS, dual airbags, TCS which City doesn't offer even as option. It is more of D class, whereas City is C+.

And if the vehicle is going to be used on highways, then it is no contest at all. It has to be elantra crdi (possibly with discounts ).

In HYD...

Elantra CRDi OnRoad Price: 10,30,000/-
NHC GXI: 8,50,000/-
NHC VTEC 9,40,000/-

Elantra is far better than the NHC, its a differnt class of car, and best thing, u get Diesel, which performs better than the VTEC i am sure. (i aint driven the Vtec yet.) a lil more bargain, and the Elantra can be had for around 10 LK here.

and as TSK has jus explained it all, Elantra is far more loaded car than the NHC.

dont look at the price. Look at what you are getting for that price.

though sales have been slow for the elantra it still remains to be a beautiful car.

go ahead and buy the elantra and you wont regret it.
