Re: Best RWD used car

I think yes, the Fiat a.k.a Premier Padmini would be the best choice keeping in mind the budget, availability of spares(compared to conti, estate, dolphin and the likes).

Maybe if I were You, I would go for a padmini with a decent engine, put on some used lower profiled tires(compared to the higher bias tires of the padmini) and I think it would drift with some practice. I had one with the regular tires and it wasn't too hard to get it to drift, but then I didn't take it up seriously. Just a little sound of the tires and I was content

BTW where are you located?

Re: Best RWD used car

Well, Contessa is the best bet but finding contessa is a task. I need one which I will modify and will make a murcielago replica. I will also put a V8 on it.

Searching for a contessa, If you guys know anyone selling. Please let me know.

P.S. Where can we find old imports like nissan skyline, mr2 and others.

Regards

More than the Contessa,I would go for the 118 NE.You could find one for under 20 K .118NE's were prone to rusting ,so you might have to spend a bit on body work. One of my all time fav cars!!

The OMNI definitely drifts much better than it looks.

OMNI + not-so-grippy tyres + not-so-grippy roads = sure shot drift!.

The main reason being, its rear, if unladen is too lightweight.

Re: Best RWD used car

like GTO said- i was going to suggest the omni with some minor modifications...
its a really light weight front heavy RWD vehicle.
take it, strip it down, put in a roll cage and fibre glass cover, and you have an awesome drifter - good p/w ratio and rwd.
decent high revving suzuki engine and cheap spares.
