Esteem VXi 2003 only 4k km done... anyone seen it?

My dad found some 03 Esteem VXi that's done only 4k km so he's really interested in picking that up. Dunno for what price, though. Anyway, has anyone seen or heard of this particular deal?

If all goes well, I'll finally replace my beloved Evo Z with this Esteem. And then the modding begins

What? Aalaap and no lancer?

Remember one thing...cars are built to run. A rarely used car will cause more headache than a moderately run machine.

For now! Dad's buying this one. The Lancer will come from my own pocket... when I make enough money!

Hmm true, but dad has seen this car and he usually checks everything out before making a decision.

By the way, dad just picked up the car for 3.25 lakh. I'll get it by next week!

Nuff said on a hardly used car but do you have proff that the 4000 km is genuine - ie service bills, emission certificates etc?

If i were you, I would pick it up..provided the case is genuine. It is worth the risk. Assuming you know a mechanic and about cars...

have personally picked up a car run 2500 km genuine after 3 years..

yes some silly problem like brake jam (rectified with overhaul at dealer) and batt going kaput cam with the car..

if its genuine and at a bargain price, go for it

Everything is fine. Dad has checked it out. Dad really gets down to the details before paying an amount like 3.25. I've said it before - I trust him on these things! I'll get the car by next weekend.

Now I have a bunch of questions...

1) Since this is a 2003 VXi, I guess I can't go by the specs of the "New Esteem" in the brochures that I downloaded. Does anyone know where I can find the original specs of the 2003 models?

2) Is it possible to convert this old Esteem into the New Esteem in terms of outer body i.e. cosmetics? Cost?

3) Dad wants to get an LPG kit fitted right after we get the car. I think this is a good idea - I do have a fair bit of running now that my future wife stays in Borivli! This is the "hybrid" kit that comes with a petrol/LPG switch, which essentially gives me the best of both the worlds. Is there anything I need to be aware of before I do this to the 03 Esteem VXi?

Of course, I'll have a lot more questions very soon.. !

Thanks!
