Nice thread. Here are mine, clicked in February 2010, on the way to Goa, somewhere between Shimoga and Sagar on NH 206 during sun-rise.

I didn't know other people do this too.

From blue rear view is driving to work with no front numberplate
From black rear view is speeding on Hume Highway from Canberra
From my bike few months, riding to work - cop saw no rego label and pulled me over
One of my dog, few weeks old

I had just got the car, and just got the registration. The plate had not yet been fixed but i drove it to work anyway (rain) and got pulled over for that reason.

The fine is $300 and some amount of demerit points. Why so expensive? because it is aimed at people driving exotic cars (Ferrari, Lambo, Porka) and dont want to run a front number plate.

Luckily the cop was very reasonable and gave me just an $80 fine

The no rego label, well we have a rego sticker that we must have somewhere on the bike/car, on bikes it is in a plastic holder, i broke that and didn't bother to replace it but still carried the label in my jacket which wasn't good enough! $96 fine.

I'm not trying to one-up the cops or anything, just not as vigilant as i should have been about complying to the road rules >_<'
