Tyre and Alloys for sale - Pls suggest

Hi-Join X dynamic- 5 spoke alloys 4 No's + Good year FI, 195/60R/14, 4 No's for sale.

Copy of the invoice dated in the month of September shows the total value as 30,320/- (4080 per tyre & 3500 per alloy). I was told these tyres has run for 1000 kms. Deal came through a reliable source.

They quote Rs.21,000/- for 4 No's of alloys and tyres. Just want to find out is it a good deal. If you find this to be on the higher side, what would be the correct price for his. Please help.

Also I need to get one new additional tyre and rim for the spare wheel.

Hi,

Offer him max 15k if they visibly look new. Check the tyre depth and see how much life has been used and then take a decision. New tyre price should be compared from other dealers and the half of that to be offered as a general rule assuming the mileage he claims is true. Realistically 1000km is too low a mileage for 4 months of use.

A steal - normally a set like this costs around 45k

check of the tyres are ok and if the original car was not involved in an accident / and there is a genuine reason for the change

Thanks Viper. Iam planning to take a guy who runs a tyre shop to find out whether the actual usage is 1000kms. This was told before a month time & they were yet to strike a deal. Yeah, this gives me room for negotiation.

Here is the catch. It seems he had got it fixed for this Swift & the car was sold (done 1000 kms). I have not got the reason why he sold the car. If the accident is not going to affect the alloys and tyres, Iam less bothered about that. Already offered the price, let me wait for his confirmation

Ajmat, you can get a set of five brand new 15"s with Potenzas for much less than 45k. I know cause I've been scouting for my Optra.

Sorry Ford Rocam, I could not do that. The seller is not interested in parting away with what I had offered. Good luck for him.
