This update will greatly speed up photo viewing in the gallery (ie the view after you click on an image thumbnail).

Earlier, the gallery-view images were being sent to your phone in full size and then scaled down on your screen. Now these images are resized down on the server itself, before being sent to your phone.

In addition to that, large images are now sent across as JPGs, not PNGs as they were earlier.

These two changes should greatly increase image viewing speed in the TBHP app's gallery, as well as reduce data usage when doing the same.

This may be a device specific issue, as on my Nexus S everything is fine.
Try uninstalling the app then reinstall.

Have you been using the 'Advanced Task Killer' app for your phone?
If used in Auto-kill mode, this app will force close apps when one multi-tasks.

No advanced task killer has been installed. This happens only for this app. However, if I switch to some other application and then long press the home button, choose the team bhp app there is no problem. This happens only if I click the team bhp icon from the second screen. Strange. But it's ok, can live with it. Don't want to hijack this thread for this trivial issue. Hope we get the thanks option from the app also soon.

I think the fonts styles is disabled in the app.

I double checked, and the Dev says there has been no specific change to affect this in the last update.

The android app doesn't (yet) support bold and italic font styles. Its high on our wish-list. The iPhone app already has this support.

^ True, however - we've been wanting a "15 per page" option as well (in addition to the existing 10, 20, 30, 40) -- simply because that will line up the App page numbers with the Forum page numbers. Useful for threads that say "scoop pics on page 48" etc .
