Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

I have 2 suggestions for Android App of Team-BHP.

1.
No. of posts should be 15 in a page like team-bhp normal website. It will help if the title or somewhere else it is mentioned some specific information/pictures are on a particular page no. Presently, there are 20 posts in a page on the android app.

2. If possible, please add members location in the posts. It will help in understanding the member's point of view depending on his location.

why can't i zoom pictures on my tbhp android app?
whenever i try to see the finer details in a picture... be it accidents or be it new car reviews or be it sticker spotting(especially numbers of car).
with the amount of mobile browsing we do these days, i would like to have this option.

P.S: i have app version 1.3.9

A few suggestions from an extensive mobile internet user.

1. Adding a dark theme to improve night browsing.
2.full screen images which load faster. (Giving a choice to user for selecting quality of image.low ,med, high )
3 integrating RSS feeds into app.

Looking forward to these changes in improved versions.

if u press and hold on a PM, you'll get 'reply','forward' and 'delete' options.
so you won't need a seperate delete button.

it is like that by design!

Re: Team-BHP App for your Android Phone & Tablet

Android Mobile app is fantastic. I have installed it on my wife's phone as I have Nokia E6 and there is no app for Symbian as of today.

Is there any plan to develop Mobile app for Symbian? Even though it is not so popular OS in comparison with Android it is widely used. Similarly in case of Windows phone.

We did consider tapatalk, and even had it installed to test initially. However we chose to use a different solution as you know, and removed tapatalk as it would involve more updates etc on the server. We chose to keep it simple, and the Team-BHP app does provide almost all the features tapatalk has, along with a few tapatalk doesn't.

Try logging out on the computer, and only then opening up the app? Let me know if that works....

Version 1.3.9 added support for google analytic tracking. Thats about it.

Strange! Maybe try reinstalling the app, or click "disable crash reporting" in settings?

Selecting a post = 2 clicks
Thanking a post = 2 clicks

Its the same! Except if you were using a selection type method, at the end you'd have to click one or two extra times to "thank".

Unfortunately not possible in the app at the moment. However, a workaround is to SAVE the image, then open the image in your gallery viewer and zoom it there!

All noted! Thanks.

@aktarcar - What do you mean by RSS integration in the app? How would that help, given that the app is showing you the same data anyway...

Agreed that selecting multiple posts and thanking them at once requires more clicks! But if the selecting and thanking multiple posts at once feature is enabled on the app (somehow), the whole process is less time consuming (I'll explain how )

For instance, if one have to thank 5 posts out of 10 in a page, he needs to thank each post individually. After thanking one post, he needs to wait ~5-10* seconds for the page to load again and then thank next post and wait again and repeat the cycle. ie, he needs to wait (or rather waste) almost half a minute or more when he needs to thank multiple posts in a page

That said, I humbly request you to give my suggestion a thought and see if it can be enabled

* I still use 2G network on my phone

At the cost of sounding like a village idiot.

I just want to say that its a little more convenient for folks like me who use Tapatalk heavily as most other forums have Tapatalk support. Would still reiterate that having Tapatalk support alongwith the independent TBhp app would be great. Rather than forcing people to use the app.

I am not saying that the Tbhp app isn't cool, it might even be better than Tapatalk. But, then amongst the 9 odd forums that I frequently visit if I need to have to use a different app just to view this forum its just a little inconvenient.

Re: Team-BHP App for your Android Phone & Tablet

@Rehaan,

I am using Nokia e6 which has Nokia Belle OS. I have searched for TEAM-BHP app on Ovi store but could not find it.

P.S. For Belle it is not available. :(

True point there! However, its quite unlikely that a bulk-thanking ability is going to be integrated into the app...

Not doubting that praful, i completely get your point -- but we have to prioritize things on our end too, and as its stands we have chosen not to include tapatalk for the reasons mentioned in my last post.

The multi-quote option is present in the app right from it's launch.

Please go through this post to learn how to multi-quote : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/team-b...ml#post2388569
