Countries you have worked in

I invite all TBhpians who ARE or HAVE worked in more than one country other than their motherland.
For instance, I have worked in US (about 1.5 year), Australia (again about 1 year), Singapore (2 years), Belgium (about 9 months), South Africe (about 3 months) & UAE (about 1 year) other than my sailing days but I'm not counting that because this thread is about WORKING in a particular country & NOT mere visiting.
I have photos of most of these places tucked somehere in my Chandigarh house which I'll put down here soon.
..So roll on & bring in your stories & photos.

I had worked in Singapore for 5 years continuously. In case of US, it is more of 2 or 3 week short trips for customer interaction rather than working there.

US - Keene (New Hampshire), Canada - Toronto, Ireland - Dublin, Scotland - Edinburgh, England - Nottingham, Northern Ireland - Belfast, and of course, India!

Worked in India (2 years), Singapore (10+ years and going), Thailand (Bangkok - 2 years), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur - 1 year).

A month or so in the US (New York), and business visits to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Japan, Philippines. Thats about it

India 8+ and USA - 6+ years.

I am thinking, rather than just posting the countries one has worked in, BHPians could also comment on which country they found better to work in purely from a work ethics perspective.

US - 3 years (almost) in two places - Atlanta & Redmond (WA)

India 7 years.
I guess the most listed country would be US here... Interested to see a country which is very unique one and make to search in Atlas.

I am a Business Consultant in telecom. Yeah, I admit about the interesting mix. Btw, I can see that you too have traveled to a lot of places ( though not adventurous as mine

^^^ Well, going by my mix of places I have worked in, I guess it is evident that I am in IT, like so many others on the forum. :-)

I have worked in the UNMIK in Kosovo (former Yugoslavia) for a one year tour of duty.

Apart from India (9+ years), the only other country I have worked in is France (2+ years). Have been to Canada and Germany on short business trips as well.

And of course, my time in France allowed me to visit a few more European countries as a tourist.

Ireland(Dublin), UK, Singapore, Abudhabi. But none of the working period exceeded two years.
