Going by the results so far, it looks like all good games will happen in the quarter finals only. Germany Vs Argentina, Brazil Vs France and England Vs Portugal. The worst part is that some of the good teams get eliminated here and there is a possibility that Italians reach semis. In my opinion, they do not deserve it. They are lucky to have got this far.

Looking at Ghana, The way they played. I can only say .. Man they are future Champions.
Most of the time match was played in Brazil Half, coordination between Ghana Players was marvelous, Only thing which was missing was a Finish.

To me, 2 goals out of 3 Brazil were controversial, Being a Bazil FAN, I am really disappointed. They have to put there act together to suceed else.......god help them

Agreed. I thought Ghana had its fair share of chances yesterday. If they do not take their chances, they can not beat teams like Brazil. Hope they do better in future.

I think it's a case of peaking at the right time. Teams like Brazil, France and Germany did just enough to stay afloat during the early part of the tournament. They're just lifting their game when it matters - much like the Aussies did in the 1999 cricket World Cup. IMO Spain and Czech Republic peaked too early. England's gonna lose to Portugal unless F50's best friend, Peter Crouch comes up with something special.
I don't want to comment on Italy.

well......i dont think Italy is that bad a team.Basically they play defensive game and thats why not many would like to watch them in action but they are the 3rd team after Brazil and Argentina who has something special the way they play it.

How many times u have seen them to win by 3-4 goals margin or even beaten by that much margin?
So if they r reaching semi/final of major events, they have to be good.
I would like to see Brazil vs Italy in final which may be a possibility.[if they dont meet in semi]

the 2 big quarter finals should have actually been the Semi's! We're going to lose 2 top teams by Sunday.

I hope its Argentina !

Ideally I would love Ukraine to take care of Italy...if not I would love to see the Samba ride roughshod over them.

And Im praying hard , keeping my fingers crossed that Portugal throw the English out.....dont want these English and Italians anywhere near the semifinal spot.

But if it happens - we might end up with a England-Italy Final

My worst nightmare !!!!!!!!!

I think Brazil will pull something out of the bag at the last moment and take home the World Cup. Like Spain, I fear Argentina may have peaked too early. Still, I'd love to see them beat the hosts.
