naveen, X factor may not be a fan favourite but Sign of the Cross is one the best Maiden/Harris tracks ever.

Roorback? will check it and some later stuff too although being a thrash fan I enjoyed most of their earlier works a lot more with more of a death/thrash feel.

The Final Frontier is like the film Inception. You gotta go back to it again and again to fully understand it ;-)

In fact I quite like the X-Factor as well! Though Blaze Bailey doesn't have Dickinson's range he was a good replacement.

Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir

Dave Mustaine is back! Not with an album though but with a book! Its' Mustaine's biography! With all the feuds that Mustaine has had over the years, this is going to be a fun read! Can't wait to get my hands on it. Check it out here:

Amazon.com: Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir (9780061714375): Dave Mustaine, Joe Layden: Books

Edit...

Damn even Ozzy's written one.! It's called "I Am Ozzy". Here it is:

Yeah, would love to lay my hands on this biography. Somehow like Megadeth/Mustaine more because of the feud with Metallica. After seeing Some Kind of Monster, this feeling has increased!

Also, Jimmy Page has had his biography released - only pictures though - all through these years, concert and other pics.

Yeah but it's limited to just 2500 copies and at $700(?), it's not cheap!

FF Reviews on Metal Rules:

METAL RULES

On the Story of X-Factor, I did not know about the Blaze era initially. The Sign of the cross version I heard was with Bruce in Rock in Rio.
That was awesome. Then I went and bought the studio album.

@Suhaas, Have you read the autobiography of Pink Floyd? Written by Masson. I have a copy got at Forum. It makes a nice collector's item.

Kamelot sound seems to have changed since Epica days.
But its good! Guitar sounds seem very prolific.

Listening to the last Septic Flesh album - Communion. I remember Wolfheart recommended this one and it is indeed quite good. very atmospheric with orchestras, while blending brutality and melody.

I have gone back to The Yardbirds and Beck. Great sound and Guitars.

What a history it has spawned. Two Legendary solo careers : Beck and Clapton and a Legendary Band : Led Zep!
