Bad news dude. Iced Earth will not play at BOA. Apparently they had a problem with their Indian visa applications. Suidakra will be performing instead. I've seen Suidakra perform (with Opeth) they're tight, heavy and great performers.

Iced Earth not playing and some work stuff coming up on *exactly* June 16!! Not a good sign.

I hope Kreator have got their visa approved.

I was there, and yes, I was in the Redneck Moshpit as well

Sad thing was my mobile was stolen when Bhayanak Maut were playing, missed whole of the skyharbor performance trying to look for it. Finally gave up and turned my attention to the show.

Man what an performance, Black Label, Omerta, Now you've got something to die for and of course Redneck. Loved it.

Wont be able to come for BOA though. Travelling frequently to BLR not so feasible. Man Why don't they keep these shows in Mumbai anymore? I'll be asking for a transfer soon if this keeps up

P.S. Went to that shop Hysteria on M.G. Road, they've got a nice collection of merch, looking for similar places in Mumbai. Also experienced bangalore traffic, no offense but it's one of the worst in the country

Many bangloreans were looking forward to Iced Earth.

Will have to settle for Sudhakar !

\m/, hope your mobile wasn't worth much!
No offence taken, I would have liked it if you had said if it was the worst in India.

Melodic DM is one of my favorite genres and after seeing them at the Opeth gig I think they are pretty decent and can put on a good show.

Sounds good. Most of my collage mates didnt widen their span from classic/hard rock/NWOBHM (Which is more OWOBHM now). I then end up not really motivated to go.

We should do a Team-Bhp Metal meet at the next gig.

yeah heard that today. :(

I have been trying to listen to SuidAkra now..it is not bad at all though not really the genre I normally listen to. Just hope there aren't any more nasty surprises from BOA.

btw if anybody loves old school heavy metal or doom, do check out Hour of 13. cracking band.

re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

^^ I've heard just one track of theirs. (Suidakra)

I think it's 'Still, the pipes are calling" or something like that. Pretty nice!

Is it the same artist? I'm not sure. Could be wrong.

EDIT: Correction, it's bloody brilliant!

re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

Atleast the BOA organisers have arranged bus transport to the new location -

From their FB page ->
Bangalore Open Air
Every 30 minutes , we will have BOA buses travelling from Mekhri circle to BOA arena.

The buses will ply from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
All the buses will leave BOA Arena at 10:30 pm sharp.

This service is an initiative from the BOA organisers for the convenience of the fans. This is a FREE OF COST service and seats are available on first come first serve basis.

that is definitely a good thing for people like me who are travelling from far and have no clue about Bangalore geography.

^ rapideffect, hope to see you there...I might have to go alone as the friend who was coming with me might have to stay back due to an unexpected problem.
